Agustín Alamán Abstract Sculpture
Agustín Alamán Abstract Sculpture
An abstract bronze sculpture (c.1970) by Spanish artist Agustín Alamán.
Formed of three parts, which fit together like a puzzle. Two halves decorated with abstract bevelled details which irregularly fit together encasing a tactile bird form within.
Inscribed 'P/A' denoting Prueba de Artista — 'Artist's Proof'. This piece was likely a creative exploration by the artist and retained as part of Alamán's personal collection.
The solid bronze gives this piece substantial weight. Polished to a smooth finish, yet with a nice patina that brings warmth to the metal.
Inscribed with artist's signature and 'P/A'.
In very good vintage condition, with some age-related wear.
