Wooden abstract sculpture by British artist Brian Willsher (1996).
A tall sculpture of two interlocking forms sitting on a small plinth.
As with all Willsher’s work, this sculpture is handcrafted through a process of cutting each piece of wood on a bandsaw, from his home studio in South East London.
Willsher sculpted intuitively, a process he described as ‘doodling in wood’ — each sculpture was made solely by him, and while his work is instantly recognisable for his signature style, no two are identical.
Signed in pen and dated to the base.
In good vintage condition.
