Ben Arnup Trompe L’oeil Ceramic Sculpture

A charming trompe l’oeil ceramic sculpture (c.1990) by British studio ceramicist Ben Arnup.

The piece is slab built in the form of a jug — constructed to create the illusion of being two-dimensional when viewed front on.

It features a small opening to the top and a brownish yellow and blue glaze detail to the base.

It is in excellent vintage condition.

Artist’s signature and numbered to the base.
