A wooden abstract sculpture (c.1970) by British sculptor Brian Willsher.
Created through a process of hand-cutting all pieces on a bandsaw, from a modest studio at his home in South East London.
Willsher sculpted intuitively, a process he described as ‘doodling in wood’ — each sculpture was made solely by him, and while his work is instantly recognisable for his signature style, no two works are identical.
This sculpture is in good vintage condition, with some minor surface wear and patina reflective of age and two minor dents to bottom corner, although these do not detract from the beauty of the piece.
This piece is unsigned.
