Figurative sculpture by Italian artist Giovanni Vetere (born 1940).
Cast from bronze, although with the characteristics of a stone carving — Vetere often worked directly into stone for larger sculptural works, a rudimental energy which feeds into his metal sculptures.
His works have a charming naive quality — perfectly captured in this piece.
