Hand-built ceramic box (c.1980) by French ceramicist Marlyse Pelletier-Le Mignot.

A sculptural form with rounded corners and a naively formed mushroom shaped lid which slots into the box opening, adding a folky charm.

Finished with speckled glaze with contrasting dark to light tones — from deep black-brown to ochre and sandy tones.

Artist's signature inscribed on the base.

In good vintage condition, with some age-related wear.
