Val Barry Ceramic Vase

A slab built ceramic vase (c.1980) by British studio ceramicist Val Barry.

It has a geometric form and a painterly glaze application, suggestive of an abstract landscape.

The vase has a slim profile and a matt ivory finish giving the piece a lovely delicate character.

Val Barry’s work often featured flattened forms, however the glazing here is quite unusual, as her pieces typically had more minimal finishes.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition.
